- Hunt the Wild
09/22/2018
Today I arrived at the woods around 3:20 p.m. and was set up in the stand around 4:03 p.m. Five minutes into the hunt, I found myself soaked to the bone due the storm that had been consistent all day. The temperature hung around 62 degrees and there was significant cloud cover. I decided to hunt today because the significant drop in temperature and because the rain was going to halt about a half an hour before last shooting light. Good ol prime time! To my surprise, I did not encounter any deer and the only animal I saw was a fat groundhog. It was still a relaxing evening hunt.
